The .desktop file is not installed correctly according
to the freedesktop.org specification and is not picked
up by the GNOME desktop in Fedora Core 1.
The file should be installed to /usr/share/applications
In FC1, there are no files in
/usr/share/gnome/apps/Applications. The entries in
/var/lib/kde/menu/... link to the .desktop files in
/usr/share/applications.
I created a new file which conforms to the standard and
also allows for startup notification, has a cleaner
name for the menu entry (Bible Study Tool instead of
GnomeSword2 Bible Study Tool - the app name still
appears in the comment), and adds additional
categories. See the attachment.
Patched .desktop file for gnomesword2
Revised .desktop file - use this one instead!

This is fixed in -dev12.
I also have an additional change to apply to CVS shortly,
but this is now fixed.
