Yes. In my case, Study pad save .pad file only on root console. When it itry to save file on other user(that is no root user), saving could not read (it says unreadable directory. Then it would not save. But I did not have trouble retrieving the .pad file from root directory saved by root console. Any soulution?

Also on non-root user cannot save personal commentary either. I did not have trouble saving the +personal+ commentary as root. Why the difference?
Of course to install I have to use RPM that can only run by root only. I could 'chmod' the RPM and try to install as non-root user

After some trial errors, I discovered that since I have installed the program, the sword, as root, I had to chmod to permit by other user all the way to the indivudual files. Now I can save them. Also at the time of saving, make sure you set new directory for the *.pad files as you have installed as root users cannot get into the root. One pain is that you have to go back to the directory each time when you save or retriev, meaning you have to remember the directory. I hope I am correct but I am always ready to be wrong! ThanK God.

I should finally be able to get a chance to look at this bug over the holidays now that all my other contract work is finished. Sorry for the long delay in this.

Ok, i've found the bug and a work around. For now, create a directory called BibleStudy (caps important) in your home directory. gnomesword uses this by default. if it can't find it you get the directory not found error and can't save the file in your home dir.

I'll add a preference option for the study pad so users can define thier own directory to save study notes. I'll try to add this over the holidays. For now, just use the workaround above.
