Gnomesword 0.3.0 w/ sword-1.5.1a on SuSE 6.4 Linux crashes on startup everytime. Previous releases have not done this.
I am a C/C++ programmer w/ no GUI programming experience, if there is any other info, or things I can try, let me know. Here is the the backtrace:
(gdb) run
Starting program: /usr/local/bin/gnomesword
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0x406b7711 in free () at malloc.c:2952
2952 malloc.c: No such file or directory.
(gdb) backtrace
Dont see a fix for this but it is now closed. This could just be an issue with sourceforge. However, I experienced same issue with RedHat 6.2 (helixcode GNOME).
Using;
gnomesword-0.3.7a-1
sword-1.5.1a-1
I installed the ISV module and the Websters module and it seemed to stop things from crashing. Perhaps putting a check for modules and giving a graceful message about not having modules installed would be better than a serious segfault. : )
