Currently GnomeGo uses dark background (wood1.png) as default - this causes some usability problems, because black lines and numbers+letters (coordinate labels) aren't visible on dark background, black stones too, especially when using GnomeGo on older laptop computers, with low brightness LCD screens.
Please use lighter background as default, for example wood3.png , wood8.png or wood6.png
