This mockup was posted on gnome-look.org. I think it's
definitly worth considering because the way it shows
time remaining and recording states is much more user
firendly than current gnomebaker implementation.

Hello there, I have created a derivative mockup. Take a look
at this glade file, I have done a lot of cleaning up in the
menus. What do you think? The reason why I say "merge
everything" is that gnomebaker (although it is a pain to
code I presume) should be able to make choices for the user.
The user does not care what kind of media he has in his
drive, he just wants to erase it, so having multiple menu
    entries for that is overkill.

And yes, I'm still voting for a default "remove the
filebrowser", but well, as long as it can remember in the
future (bug #1407017), I can bear with it ;)

Um... I can't upload any attachments :( well, leech it from
    http://jeff.nanokron.info/gnomebaker-kiddo.glade but I
cannot guarantee it will stay up there forever ;)

Do you still have the glade file available? I'd like to take a look at it and possibly implement it.
