I installed via "aptitude" on Ubuntu 11.04 ("Natty Narwhal").
I ran "Applications/Internet/Desktop Webmail", and that did as I expected: it opened a new tab in my browser pointing at gmail.
However, every time I click a "mailto:" link in that same browser, it starts Evolution.
And the "System/Preferences/Preferred Applications" thing only shows Evolution as an option in the dropdown.
What should I do?
The home page (http://gnome-gmail.sourceforge.net/) has a couple of pointers for Natty that will get you past that bug.
v1.8.1 fixes this - hopefully it will get into Oneiric.
I installed from your PPA and that fixed it! Thanks for the quick and helpful response.
