CVS has a number of fixes for bugs in 0.6.2, including:
* Fixes in mount name handling, this should
allow mounting shares with spaces
* i18n fixes
* smbmount 2.0.6+ fix for invalid -I <ip>
parameter
* New translations (az, ca, de, lt, nl, no & sv)
- From GNOME's CVS
* Fix for X lockup on some machines

Follow the instructions on the CVS page for getting the CVS code. You'll also need automake and autoconf installed to build it from CVS.
