I have loved using gnaural for years but it has gotten progressively harder to keep Java running (for me, ymmv) So I decided to rewrite Gnaural as a modern web app. You can try it here: https://gnaural.net The source is available at https://github.com/Gnaural-Web The web application will play offline as well and will read and write standard gnaural XML files.

Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me I tried everything. I had an app on my previous phone android galaxy called "Gnaural" binaural beats application. I have used this religiously for years. I got a new phone but it's literally the same phone but brand new. Apparently I can only download the phone from this website and ive tried everything and keep getting message "not compatible with phone" it doesnt make sense to me because I had it previously and I can see many people download this...

Dear Gnaural, I just downloaded your software from the website and started creating my own binaural beats for my Psychology Masters Degree research. Unfortunately when I save a project and reopen it with Gnaural, the file always returns empty. All the work I did designing my beat just vanishes everytime. Can you please help me out here? Hi all, this is my first post in this forum. I have a problem with Gnaural for Windows (or Audacity for that matter). I know binaural beats work for me, because I can steadily get into amazing trance-like states when I do theta or alpha on brainaural.com, where I can hear a "pulse", "beat", or "wow-wow-wow". However, neither Gnaural or Audacity binaural beats do that for me. I get no effect and it sounds as just noise, no pulse, beat or wow-wow-wow. Though for all else who are following, the latest available Java source (which is the old Java Applet code) does produce different output WAV files than the latest available GnauralJava (the very first closed-source GPL-licensed project! congrats @gnaural). Maybe something sine or cosine, look at the top row, which is the latest gnauraljava and the bottom row, which is the latest-available gnauraljavaapplet source. Hello, That version (Gnaural2) isn't for java. It is a much older C++ ancestor that would probably be a lot of work to compile today, given all the changes to packages. What you're looking for is the Java version: https://gnaural.sourceforge.net/help/JavaGnaural.html

This uses an alternating base frequency to increase the length of your inhaltion and exhalation until they are at a length of your choice (Default = 15seconds = only 2 breaths per minute). G'Day Gang, I have had a hard drive fail and now I am having trouble with getting Gnaural working again on a new Ubuntu 64bit installation. I downloaded the 64bit deb file. Yes, but you'd need to pick a modulation, since an autitory Delta wave is vastly below human threshold to hear directly. Which why we use Binaural Beats: by providing two frequencies well within the human hearing range, but offset from each other by a "Delta-wave amount", say 4hz so that the frequency in the right ear is 200 and the left ear 204, your brain will be able to perceive the 4hz wave. As for mixing that with a song: convert the song to generic WAV format, then simply set a voice entry...

"Isochronic" in this the autitory context basically means simply turning a tone on and off. The process of abruptly turning anything on and off sharply (e.g., a "square wave") will create, as Fourier shows, lots of odd-order harmonics (infinite ones, actually, in the theoretical model of a perfect square-wave).

I analyzed the created waveforms with a spectrum analyzer and found that the output includes a lot of harmonics and and very wide frequency spread. Is there a way to influence the "quality"/spread of the created frequencies to get more distinct frequencies. Wikipedia has two articles on ranges of brainwaves related to conscious movement, so you might want to try with a normal 9~11hz binaural. I've also found 7hz binaurals(high theta) helpful with precise movements and high beta(above 20hz) helpful with hand-eye coordination.

Or simplest of all: Maybe you didn't hit "Enter" (or Mac equivalent) on your keyboard after entering filename in the Description field. Best thing to try is starting Gnaural in a terminal window, to see debugging info.
