Hello,
After much wrangling with the Meetings people at CSHL, I am pleased to
announce that the Fall GMOD Workshop will take place at Cold Spring
Harbor Lab on October 27 and 28, which is immediately prior to the
Genome Informatics meeting, also at CSHL.
Register here:
http://www.gmod.org/register.shtml
This workshop will be somewhat different from previous GMOD meetings, as
there will be no "show and tell" and its focus will be on what can be
done and what should be done to make the 'core' GMOD tools work together
in a seamless way. These tools are:
* Chado, the schema
* GBrowse, for web based display of features
* Apollo, for editing features
* Turnkey, for customizable web based views of chado
While all are welcome to attend, this meeting is intended for
developers.
There is no registration fee for this meeting, but housing and meals
provided by CSHL cost $175/night. As has been the case in the past,
there are some funds available to offset the costs of attending the
meeting. Please contact me off list if you are interested.
For ongoing discussion of the meeting and its agenda, please reply only
to the gmod-devel mailing list.
Thanks,
Scott
