Hi Lars, You've been selected for your Google Summer of Code application "Ajax interface for the XRate command-line tool". Congratulations! The competition on this particular project was very tough. I'll be your primary mentor; though, since there are a couple of ajax projects in the NESCent group, we'll probably also pool mentorship resources, e.g. via a mailing list. In the meantime, can you please subscribe to the gmod-ajax mailing list, register yourself at biowiki.org, and skim through some of the other pages linked below: gmod-ajax page: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/gmod-ajax Main "ideas page" for your project (please also check out the links from this page): http://biowiki.org/AjaxPhyloinformatics Early Ajax alignment viewer prototype: http://biowiki.org/RnaAlignmentViewer Another Ajax alignment viewer prototype you might want to check out: http://www.ridenow.org/viewer/ Look forward to working with you this summer! Perhaps we can also fly you out to California at some point (or meet up in or around NJ; I'm over on the East Coast next month for the CSHL Biology of Genomes meeting). Best wishes, Ian Holmes |
