I think we would want to have some metrics of contribution for a wiki 
annotation project.  How to balance different kinds of users 
(computational users add lots of features, and biological users add lots 
of functional annotations; you don't want to privilege one kind of 
contribution over the other) and make it difficult to game the system 
are hard problems, though.  In my blue-sky fantasy tenure boards in 
certain fields would look at your ranking on the genome wiki as part of 
their decision making process.
