Hi Uday,

For your (2), you can change the color by adding some configuration to your
config.json. That particular color is the "secondary" one. You can see some
examples here:
https://jbrowse.org/jb2/docs/config_guide/#configuring-the-theme

For (1), I'm not sure if there's an easy way to do that. There aren't any
existing examples that I know of, so I'll have to think a bit more.
