Hi folks!
Recently we've had a few inquiries from people wishing to set up a new Tripal site about what type of resources they should provide for their use case. As this depends largely on the type and amount of data a site is expected to have, as well as how much visitor traffic the site will see, it is a difficult question to answer.
In an attempt to try to provide a useful response, we are collecting resource and usage statistics from existing Tripal sites. We're looking for server specifications such as

  *   CPU type and core count
  *   RAM
  *   Storage space and type (HDD vs SSD, local vs NFS, RAID)
  *   Amount and type of data
  *   User statistics/capabilities

With our diverse install base, we hope to provide a list or chart that a prospective Tripal user could use to estimate their resource needs based on their use case.
