Hello, Just another quick reminder that about our dev call tomorrow (*October 1st, 8am PT, 11am ET, 3pm GT)*. Zoom information below. We will start with discussions for the Tripal Advisory Committee (I got our name wrong in the last email! Oops!). Our agenda items are: - PAG - who will be doing what and what we want out of the official session and codefest - Ongoing grants No other issues are tagged on the queue for us or have come to my attention, but it's not too late! Send them along :) If I don't hear from anyone, I also propose we talk about a Tripal File module. Stephen spec'ed this out in 2017, and in collaboration with i5k and TreeGenes, we are now looking at developing it. The lead developer, Sean Buehler, will be able to walk us through our current ideas and solicit any additional community input before we solidify the plan. I am pasting a few brief details about it below as well as the zoom link for tomorrow's meeting. Talk to you soon! Meg Staton *File Module:* Original scope: - To automatically create download links on data pages. - To provide access to files via web services. - For file access (where are the files and downloading them) - Random access to the file. - To allow for data retrieval from indexed files for data that is not conducive for storage in Chado (e.g. genomic alignments in BAM files). - Provide access control for files. New ideas: - To be implemented as a "File" field to be associated with any given bundle type - Manage both local and remote files (HTTP or FTP) - Enable (or provide) file housekeeping - Periodically check that all listed files are available/correct (md5?) - Some kind of version control - Interface with the loaders - when a file is loaded, also gets stored as a flat file - Enforce standards - file organization structure (IE folders) and/or standard file names - file format checking (lightweight) - DOI and licensing for files *ZOOM* Join from PC, Mac, Linux, iOS or Android: https://tennessee.zoom.us/j/663010000 Or iPhone one-tap (US Toll): +16468769923,663010000# or +16699006833,663010000# Or Telephone: Dial: +1 646 876 9923 (US Toll) +1 669 900 6833 (US Toll) 400 669 9381 (CN Toll Free) Meeting ID: 663 010 000 International numbers available: https://zoom.us/u/awrCSyi1O Or an H.323/SIP room system: H.323: 162.255.37.11 (US West) or 162.255.36.11 (US East) Meeting ID: 663 010 000 SIP: 663...@zo...
