[Gmod-ajax] interesting arrowhead question

Mitch drew my attention to this recently-submitted lighthouse ticket:

In JBrowse we draw the arrowheads outside the feature. Robert Olson
protests that they should be inside. Is there an established convention
for this? How does GBrowse handle it?
