This looks really great, very flexible. The focus here seems to be on whole genome, and managing the sequences that make that up. I have a slightly different focus, that of managing a sequence collection - some of these will be whole genomes, but very small viral genomes; others will be just bits of viral genomes. I wonder if Tripal/Chado would be suited to managing a generic sequence collection. I guess I will only know if I try. Subject: Re: [Gmod-tripal] Demo tripal website The fagaceae site is the best example since its up to date. Quite a bit of the site functionality is bundled with Tripal. The content on the organism pages (including assemblies, GO analysis, KEGG analysis), library pages and contig pages (including sequence, blast results, putative ssr/snps, interproscan results) is provided from the chado database via Tripal. All the pages under "Project Information" are plain Drupal. Markers, Genetic Maps, and Physical maps are also plain Drupal - they're just text and file downloads for now. One day we may have more support for markers and mapping, but not much currently. WebFPC (java applet) and CMap (perl) are installed as iframes inside Drupal pages. Hope that helps! May I ask (and I realise this is hard to quantify) how much of those websites is Drupal and how much comes bundled with Tripal? i.e. if I install Tripal now, out of the box, what do I get?
