Dear Tripal Users & GMOD community, I'd like to announce the release of the second version of Tripal v0.2. This new version of Tripal provides new support for controlled vocabularies, databases and several analysis types. In particular this includes the addition of better support and visualizations for Gene Ontologies, new KEGG pathways and BRITE hierarchies, InterProScan results and improved Blast results. Tripal has been freely and publicly available since May of 2009 and provides a PHP-based Drupal front-end for the Chado database schema. It his highly customizable. Additionally it is extendable by anyone with Drupal and PHP experience. We encourage end-users to develop new or improved modules that can be shared back with the community. We can offer assistance when needed in the development of new modules. An updated user's manual is available, but not quite complete. An update to the manual will be added soon. If you have any questions please feel free to email the gmod-tripal mailing list for assistance. Tripal can be downloaded from the CUGI website as a compressed package at http://www.genome.clemson.edu/software/tripal Alternatively, developers can retrieve the most up-to-date code from the GMOD SVN: http://gmod.org/wiki/SVN Best Regards, Stephen Ficklin Clemson University Genomics Institute http://www.genome.clemson.edu/ |
