If species/region description is long, there's not room for it on the same line as the Zoom factor (so you see nothing).
Mark suggests:
chop the full species name to fit in the available real estate and put
in "..." where it chops (similar to Type in evidence panel)
i think the zoom buttons were moved over - so maybe this is ok now? 5/07 MG
