Another thing I noticed when I was testing the complicated splerge of
CG33188 and CG33187 in r4 is that if I move the translation start of a
transcript in the EDE to make the ORF no longer overlap the ORF of the
other transcripts, Apollo doesn't seem to give me any way to split that
transcript from the other transcripts into a new gene. Technically, if no
amino acids overlap in two transcripts from a locus, then either the gene
is called dicistronic or it should be split into 2 genes. Ideally, in such
advanced curation, apollo would ask you after you made such a change
whether the gene is dicistronic (in which case the box would be checked)
or if you want to split the gene. But you may not want to get into this!
