It's been a number of years since I last made amendments to GMAMEUI. Main reasons I haven't updated the code in a number of years:
I migrated from Linux to Mac, and messing about with makefiles and GTK (for the non-native GTK on Mac, no less) for one more second made me want to tear my hair out.
The changes I had in mind were not trivial and required a lot of time and thought on how best to implement.
I spent so little time actually playing MAME that it was hard to justify the effort.
I had a kid and quickly had much much less time to spend coding. Now I have 3 kids and exponentially even less time.

So I'm not likely to make any more improvements or changes. You are welcome to fork and make any changes you want. Good luck!

Hi, Many thanks , yeah I began maintain it, in July 2012 , when I saw that last version that was in the CVS, had fixes. I try to keep it alive because can't find any better application. After some time, in Fedora 21, gmameui won't start, so I made a fork on github to organize patches etc and could found a fix. Now I have another bug to fix ...
Anyway maybe you can officialize that project moved to https://github.com/sergiomb2/gmameui/ in wiki for example ( https://sourceforge.net/p/gmameui/wiki/Home/ )

    Best regards,

UPDATE : also you may add me as admin of this project , is just one idea that I remembered right now.

I've updated the homepage for your fork (I've also migrated this codebase to Github, but don't plan on maintaining it).
