#12 applet icon is cropped

using ubuntu lucid and glunarclock-applet-2 0.34.1

sometimes the icon shown in the panel (gnome) is cropped. The expected space is used but only the very left pixels (4-5) are shown. It seems the icon is vertically cropped and I can see the panel color in the (now) unused space.

workaround: selecting a different "moon image" restores the icon... Thus changing the image twice restores my originally selected icon.
