It is. I started this approach already several times and wanted to
migrate to a different git hoster like Github, Bitbucket or gitlab
because I prefer their user interface, but I wanted to keep the existing
sourceforge repository for legacy reasons. Maybe just using
sourceforge's own git is an easier option.
