Hi, check out the newest trunk commits. I have no smart card handy right now for tests, but it compiles. If you can, please check it out. Hi after successful `./configure` I run `make` globalplatform-6.0.0 on Ubuntu 18.04. I get allot of compile errors all similar to: crypto.c:48:17: error: storage size of ‘ctx’ isn’t known EVP_CIPHER_CTX ctx; ... folowed by many more similar lines as above This all ends with Makefile:463: recipe for target 'libglobalplatform_la-crypto.lo' failed make[1]: *** [libglobalplatform_la-crypto.lo] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory '/home/justin/Downloads/globalplatform-6.0.0/src' Makefile:295: recipe for target 'all-recursive' failed make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 Let me know if you require more info about the above. Apparently this has to do with Ububtu using OpenSSL 1.1.1. See https://stackoverflow.com/questions/42662733/evp-md-ctx-error-storage-size-of-ctx-isn-t-known I would appreciate it if anyone could show me how to direct the compile to an alternative library installation such as ~/local/lib/<other library>. I would put OpenSSL 1.0 there. In fact if anyone has managed to install globalplatform on Ubuntu 18.04 I would really appreciate advice very much Kind regards, Justin -- Justin +27 83 441 8883 - mobile |

Hello Global Platform mail list, I'm a student and I'm studying about UICC and OTA. I got some questions and it will be awesome if someone would answer me : 1. In theory, the GET DATA, MANAGE CHANNEL, SELECT and INITIALIZE UPDATE command can be executed by an off card entity without authentication? 2. When sending a SMS-PP Data Download envelope, which is not formatted according to the 23.048 specification, which component (SD or app) process it? 3. I got a strange behavior (in my opinion) - for every SMS I sent to my SIM card with an APDU without the 23.048 headers, I got the 9000 response. Why does it happening? Many thanks in advance! |

Hi Pál, unfortunately in contrast to other devices of the daily life complete manuals or instructions are often not provided. If you have not some of the necessary parameters you are lost. In your case these parameters might be: -security 3 -keyind 0 -keyver 0 -key 47454d5850524553534f53414d504c45 -keyDerivation visa2 There is a example file called listgemXpressoProR3_2E64.txt: https://sourceforge.net/p/globalplatform/code/HEAD/tree/trunk/gpshell/helloInstallgemXpressoProR3_2E64.txt Maybe your card is compatible to this Gemalto card. Dear all, After succeeding with Java Card development on emulators now I'm dealing with a real Java Card (Gemalto IDCore 3010 <http://www.gemalto.com/dwnld/6589_IDCore3010_Product_Datasheet_Jan14.pdf>). I have been experiencing with GPShell, but I have problems even with the most basic sample code, that would list the applets on the card (GPShell.exe list.txt). The content of the list.txt file is the following (as you might all know): mode_201 enable_trace establish_context card_connect select -AID a0000000030000 open_sc -security 1 -keyind 0 -keyver 0 -mac_key 404142434445464748494a4b4c4d4e4f -enc_key 404142434445464748494a4b4c4d4e4f // Open secure channel get_status -element e0 card_disconnect release_context Which I have modified after reading the Global Platform wiki and it is like this now: //I changed this, because the Card Management & API is compliant with GP2.1.1. mode_211 enable_trace establish_context //Switches are not necessary as I am using only one single-slot card reader card_connect //The auto-detected ISD AID of the card is: A000000018434D00 select -AID A000000018434D00 //This is the line where the command fails open_sc -security 0 -keyind 0 -keyver 0 -keyDerivation none -key 47454d5850524553534f53414d504c45 // Open secure channel //This would list applets and packages and security domains get_status -element e0 card_disconnect release_context On the Global Platform page one can find that these are the switches for an open_sc command: open_sc -keyind x -keyver x -key xyz -mac_key xyz -enc_key xyz -kek_key xyz -security x -scp x -scpimpl x -keyDerivation x Open secure channel But sadly I couldn't make my command work, but here I summarize what I know about the switches: - *keyind*: The only information I found is that it is a key index, which I would have guessed also all by myself. - *keyver*: Key set version. Same as above. - *key*: I read that If I have a card which uses key derivation I must enable the derivation mode with the -keyDerivation option and I must specify with -key the master (mother) key. So here I provided my mother key (4F454D5850524553534F53414D504C45). - *mac_key*: It should not be relevant, because it is calculated from the master key. - *enc_key*: It should not be relevant, because it is calculated from the master key. - *kek_key*: It should not be relevant, because it is calculated from the master key. - *security*: The information I found is this: 0: clear, 1: MAC, 3: MAC+ENC. Since in the datasheet of my card I couldn't find something like this I chose "0". - *scp*: Secure Channel Protocol (1 SCP01, 2 SCP02, default not set). Should not be necessary to be stated explicitly. My card supports both SCP01 and SCP02. - *scpimpl*: Secure Channel Implementation (default not set). Should not be necessary to be stated explicitly. - *keyDerivation*: Possible values are "none", "visa2" or "emvcps11". Also since I couldn't find information on this in the datasheet I stack to "none". This is the error message that I get with the modified code: C:\JavaCard\GPShell-1.4.4>GPShell.exe list.txt mode_211 enable_trace establish_context card_connect select -AID A000000018434D00 Command --> 00A4040008A000000018434D00 Wrapped command --> 00A4040008A000000018434D00 Response <-- 6F198408A000000018434D00A50D9F6E061291518101009F6501FF9000 open_sc -security 0 -keyind 0 -keyver 0 -keyDerivation none -key 47454d585052455 3534f53414d504c45 // Open secure channel Command --> 80CA006600 Wrapped command --> 80CA006600 Response <-- 6A88 GP211_get_secure_channel_protocol_details() returns 0x80206A88 (6A88: Referenced data not found.) Would you be so kind as to tell me what I am doing wrong and how I should parameterize my open_sc command to make this all thing work with the Gemalto IDCore 3010? Thank you very much! Hi, Can you try to installed globalplatform with "make install" before? Maybe it is a bug with the "GLOBALPLATFORM_LIBS" option. is a previous version also installed in the lib directory? What says ./configure --help? Are the build options mentioned? You an also try to use the trunk. The trunk is using cmake for the compilation. But this might be even simpler than the former build chain. Good morning, I'm trying to compile gpshell-1.4.4. I have FreeBSD 10.1, i'v downloaded tarballs with source of globalplatform-6.0.0 and gphsell-1.4.4. Compillation of globalplatform whas straightforward, and right now i have globalplatform's binaries in my home directory. Unfortunetly i have problem with compillation of gphsell. I'm trying to compile gpshell executing ./configure --prefix=/home/cranix/gpshell \ WINSCARD_LIB_PATH="-I/home/cranix/globalplatform-6.0.0/src/pcsclite-includes/winscard.h" \ GLOBALPLATFORM_CFLAGS="-I/home/cranix/globalplatform/include/globalplatform" \ GLOBALPLATFORM_LIBS="-L/home/cranix/globalplatform/lib" in directory with gpshell's source. Unfortunetly i'm getting: error: OPGP_VISA2_derive_keys() not found, install GlobalPlatform 6.0.0 or later (full configure's output is here: http://pastebin.com/00w7WZz3) I'v tried searching with several search engines, but with no result. Have You any ideas what i might doing wrong? Kind regards, Cranix |

Hi all, I'm trying now for some time to get the secure channel protocol 03 working. This protocol is used with some newer cards like from G&D and Gemalto. G&D is not willing to help here, it is impossible to buy cards without signing an NDA and information are not given out, because the SF GlobalPlatform project compete with their own product was a statement I received. Gemalto cards can be ordered by anybody without signing anything, but I also cannot get it working. I have asked in the Gemalto bulletin board, but got no answer. I haven't asked Gemalto directly, I will try this as next. I have no manuals here so I don't know what causes the problems in my implementation. Can anybody help with some infos about these cards? I.e. what are the default keys, are some key derivation methods used, what are testing vectors with what key. Thanks, Karsten |

Hi Erik, the support of the Java Card applet has nothing to do with the supported cards mentioned in the Wiki. These are only the cards which are reported to be working with GPShell. You not only need to move the initialization to a separate function, but to defer calling that function until after the applet is installed. You can't call it as part of the install() method - otherwise you get the timeout. Hi, I have been asked to create a java card applet which will handle some encryption and decryption. The java card is the Gemalto TOP DL v2 card, which should support 2048 bits RSA. The compilation and the cap converting is ok. keyPair = new KeyPair(KeyPair.ALG_RSA, KeyBuilder.LENGTH_RSA_1024); // Ok But 1984 and 2048 or any other size greater than 1024 fails. Hi Alexei, I tried to integrate the VISA 1 scheme. Completely untested because I do not have such a card. You can check out a version for Windows here: http://www.speedshare.org/download.php?id=9274D0CD1 Please reply if this one is working. The switch is "visa1". Hi! My card implements the Visa Global Platform VGP 2.1.1 Configuration 3. And I have troubles with External Authentication. I tried to use different key derivation schems. In particular I tried 'visa2' scheme. But card cryptogram that I compute on the host is wrong. Can somebody provide me what key derivation scheme should I use with GPShell? Or may be libGlobalPlatform doesn't support VGP 2.1.1 Configuration 3 key derivation scheme? |
