when telling units to gather resources it would be nice
to see the resource selected for a second (i.e
starcraft) and being able to get resource stats would
be good too.
Two more suggestions with regards to resource collection assignment...
It would be nice to change the mouse icon base on the action that would be performed on a right click.
For example, if you have a worker selected and then hover the mouse cursor over a gold resource, the cursor would change into an icon that indicates "mine gold". Upon a right click, the unit is assigned the task of mining gold.
The second suggestion is to remove a mouse click from the resource collection assignment process.
When you have a worker selected, the icons for the possible actions are shown. Clicking on one of the collection icons (Stone/Gold or Wood) would immediately assign the worker to that task and it would move towards the nearest resource and start mining.
This would require splitting the Stone and Gold mining icon.
