[gl4java-usergroup] glXGetCurrentContext and NVidia Linux drivers

I received a bug report about an application I have on-line not
working with the latest NVidia Linux drivers due to the known
crash in glXGetCurrentContext. Has this been worked around yet?
If not, could we release a 2.8.3.0 which has the calls to this
routine removed?
