I think you should use
libGL4Java2.3.0.0-Linux-glibc2.1-Mesa31Soft-x86.zip, because, if i
remember, mesa directly support 3dfx(=glide), so it is equivalent to
software (but accelerated). Nvidia card do not use "real" mesa.
