#50 irq problem with via82cxxx_audio

I have an ASUS A7V133 mb and it has the onboard via
audio chip. I am using the lastes version of the
via82cxxx_audio driver(1.1.15), and when I boot the
driver is forcing the use of IRQ 9 which is also being
used by my eth1. This causes my sound to cut out and
act oddly. Why can't we have a module option of irq=?
to pass during boot for this module.

    PCI IRQs cannot be changed by the driver. You can change
    the IRQ in BIOS setup.
