Hello,

My config : Linux debian 2.4.18 kernel running on KT4V
MSI motherboard with VT8235 south bridge.

My sound chip VT8235 doesn't run at all. Here is some

dmesg output :

(Unknown)
via82cxxx: board #1 at 0xE000, IRQ 22
via_audio: ignoring drain playback error -512

via-audio-diag -aps output :

/via-audio-diag -aps
via-audio-diag.c:v1.00 05/06/2000 Jeff Garzik
(jgarzik@mandrakesoft.com)
Unable to find a recognized card in /proc/pci.
If there is a card in the machine, explicitly set the I/O
port address
using '-p <ioaddr> -t <chip_type_index>'
Use '-t -1' to see the valid chip types.

lspci output :
...
Bus 0, device 17, function 5:
Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc.
AC97 Audio Controller (rev 80).
IRQ 22.
I/O at 0xe000 [0xe0ff].

Could you help me ?

TIA
