gjots2 has a search function. It does find the patterns just fine. But as you can see from the attached screenshot, the marked text is off to the right by about 10-15 pixels from the actual text. This has been the case from 2.3.9 to the current 2.3.15.

I can confirm this is fixed in 2.4.1
