Hi,

I guess gjiten works for most people as is, including me.
Others may have moved on as there are a couple new japanese dictionary
tools on the linux market nowadays, not to mention the online stuff and
browser extensions, etc.

Sad thing is that I don't have the time to maintain the project, though
there would be some things to do (e.g. refactor for gnome3/gtk3).
If anyone wants to fix things or would like to maintain the project I can
give commit access to the sourceforge repo.
