Hi.
It's definitely OT but I don't know if someone can help me with this strange issue I'm having on my mythbox.
the keyboard is a wireless one with a ps2 receiver.
without warning I noticed that on the Xserver every key I press on my keyboard I get many key presses (so I can't type 'ls' beacause I get 'lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllssssssssssssssssssssss').
it's not mythtv related (I get such issue also in an xterm), I think that it's not hardware related (in a tty I have no problem).
any suggestions for this really OT problem?
thanks

Interesting. Does this have anything to do with gizmod (ie is gizmod causing this)?
If not... what xorg driver is being used with the keyboard (ie evdev, ps2, etc)?
uh, sorry. I forgot to write it.
this issue is absolutely not-gizmod-related!
and better: now gizmod is the only way to control my mythbox! :)
about the xorg driver: I've to check at home. it's odd because I didnt modify my xorg.conf since months!
Hmm... well it seems like an xorg driver issue, especially if the keyboard works fine in a vt.
You _might_ be able to fix this with gizmod -- if you can put the keyboard into exclusive mode (grabExclusiveAccess -- http://gizmod.sourceforge.net/documentation/apidocs/a00243.html#96b932a83d3c98ce617a0604230423f3\) and set the minimum time between events to some appropriate value (setMinimumTimeBetweenEvents -- http://gizmod.sourceforge.net/documentation/apidocs/a00243.html#12fdf2a57b2e01c5cbc43685569fa3ff\).
Seems like a nasty hack to me though. There's gotta be a way to get the keyboard to work with xorg using some of xorg's settings.
