This new version is only available for a fee of 5 euros, by PAY TO DOWNLOAD, using shareit services: http://gisvm.com These is meant to support the time spent on future development of GISVM project. GISVM ("GIS Virtual Machine") is a Ubuntu Linux distribution for GIS users, packaged as a virtual machine, a completely isolated computer that can be run in a window inside your current operating system. This new GISVM Desktop release is based on Ubuntu 11.04 installation with Gnome and the amazing Unity-2D interface. Like the base version, it includes PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Mapserver, Tomcat, Samba, SSH, and several other services. It comes installed with the most popular free GIS desktop solutions: - Quantum GIS / Grass - gvSIG - Kosmo - OpenJump - uDIG It is also possible to install other free GIS software by using the included double click install scripts, so you can add your favorite GIS Web server or other tools you may need.
