Doug, Hope you're doing better. I got back from vacation last Thursday. I'm ready to get coding again. Regarding your suggestions: The frontend can be done with taglibs. It's something that most people "get" for customization, etc. Will put the wait/notify thumbnail thing in the to do list. We can move ginp.xml back into the web-inf. We replace step 1 of the synchronization strategy with checking the file exists + the last modified rule. To Do List for Next Version: Wait/Notify thumbnail generation thing ginp.xml back to web inf. create picture record in database for each file. implement most popular picture in collection and random picture from collection feature as a tag lib. Add setup code for database to setup app. One thing I would like is that when you are looking at the fullsize picture if you could see a few thumbs of the next couple of pictures so you could skip ahead if things get boring in the middle of showing your holiday pictures to your friends :). What do you think? What kind of features do you want to work on? Regards, Justin |
