Hi I believe this question has been asked a thousand times already, however,I can't find any documention on how to use this gini.I'm able to install and make it run (in Solaris Unix) but can't figure out how to stream a videa file from a webpage? Is there any configuration that I need to set on my Apache web server? Appreciate if anyone can help or redirect me to any site/archive that can give me the step-by-step operation of this gini. Dear Open Source developer I am doing a research project on "Fun and Software Development" in which I kindly invite you to participate. You will find the online survey under http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/. The questionnaire consists of 53 questions and you will need about 15 minutes to complete it. With the FASD project (Fun and Software Development) we want to define the motivational significance of fun when software developers decide to engage in Open Source projects. I need a shoutcast server that will fit on a floppy with other gizmos =
and wizbangs, in other words, I need a shoutcast server linked to =
uclibc. I'm relatively new to this sort of thing, and I have some =
questions about modifying GINI's Makefile to make it compile against =
uclibc. I've changed the CC variable to point to i386-uclibc-gcc, and it =
compiles just fine, but it's still linked to glibc.
I assume these are to blame:
GLIB_CFLAGS =3D -I/usr/include/glib-1.2 -I/usr/lib/glib/include
GLIB_CONFIG =3D /usr/bin/glib-config
GLIB_LIBS =3D -L/usr/lib -lglib
...but I'm not at all sure what to change these to in order to use only =
uclibc. If anyone can help me out here, I would appreciate it.
There may be more variables in the Makefile I need to change, I don't =
know. I've only changed CC.
Do I need to change either of these? :
host_alias =3D i686-pc-linux-gnu
host_triplet =3D i686-pc-linux-gnu
The target system is a 586, so is this a problem?

HI! i'm trying to make a dual format station with mp3 and wma... at this time i can stream mp3 with sc_serv (shoutcast serv) and ices, using a program to feed ICES using a PIPE, so i can change the input with my program, mixing two or more sounds, making fade in and fadeout effects and so. With ffmpeg i can convert from my mp3 signal to wma (with mp3 codec) stream, but the only server i know that can stream WMA data is gini. The problem is that ginifeed can't feed from a PIPE, but only from list... Is there any way to feed gini server with data from a PIPE? Is there any specification of how ginifeed sends the data to the gini server? Thank you. |

I was looking for more of a "how-to" on configuration and how to stream files, etc. the man pages give switches and syntax. and so forth, but there is no real overview on how gini works or how it works with ginifeed, and so on, how to feed files, where to point to the files.
