I'm using GIMP v2.6.10 on Snow Leopard v10.6.4
I'm working with some rather large files, and so I like to observe the activity monitor to make sure I have enough memory to do what I need to do.
I noticed that if I use GIMP for a long period of time, the virtual memory being used can grow up to enormous numbers.
In like 40-60 minutes, I've seen it grow up to 39 Gb.
Is this a memory leak? Am I unaware of some sort of history that I need to clear once in a while? I clear the undo history regularly to keep RAM free.
I'm beginning to suspect the memory leak (if it is indeed a leak) is associated with the paths tool … but I'm not yet certain.
Is there a more appropriate location to post this inquiry?
