Why in the world would you want to take an open source code base that readily compiles and is distributed for many operating systems including windows and compile it with a platform specific framework? It makes absolutely no sense at all.
The biggest problem with the Win32 platform in general is that they all to frequently use MS' proprietary versions of otherwise standardized languages. MS is all about control of software to limit it's use on other platforms to prevent their growth. Why would you want to take a long standing project that is compatible with nearly all OS' out there and make it proprietary to Win32?
Why don't we all take a step backwards in software development...then we can all open our wallets and make the rich a bit richer, and use a substandard underdeveloped product.
