Would it be easier if I did that?  (How?)  A proper debian archive needs
to be arranged a certain way, with separate directories for potato and
woody and a special file called Packages and/or Packages.gz which describes
the contents of the directories.  These are used by apt.  I can either
upload a tar file or just set this up myself if I have permission.
