So it sounds that everyone so far agrees. Perhaps we should make that scrollable for Epson rolls (just kidding). A correct aspect ration and orientation are all we need in my opinion too. Roll paper and very long prints are two different issues. Very long, narrow prints are going to be hard to represent on the preview window. Roll paper is something else; we need to understand a little better how Epson handles that. Not frivolous at all. I'm using a wide format printer at work from Linux. It's an hp dnj 455 if I recall well and prints up to A1 or A0, more than a meter wide in any case. I even use Linux to spool Windows boxes for that printer. We use it for scientific posters. OK. I'm going to plug the full table of paper sizes into the driver, even if we can't use them yet. > I ported it to the mainline and did gimp_main_window as well. It's in there now. > - I haven't found a way to display centimeters (or millimeters) > instead of inches. > > We really should do that... I'll give it a try tonight (unless it's already done as well). That'll be my second gtk lesson. Could you do this stuff on the mainline, not just on your branch? I want the UI stuff to get in as quickly as possible; your dithering stuff is what needs more testing before committing to the mainline. -- Robert Krawitz <rl...@al...> http://www.tiac.net/users/rlk/ Tall Clubs International -- http://www.tall.org/ or 1-888-IM-TALL-2 Member of the League for Programming Freedom -- mail lp...@uu...
