I've tested it on my ESC900 + gs6.21.
Quality settings 0 and 2 both produce exactly the same layout.
(Papersize: a4)

Top margin: 0.5 mm !!
Bottom margin: 7.0 mm

Left margin: 3.2 mm
Right margin: 3.7 mm

Robert, the rendering times have improved considerably also.
Quality 0: 16.0 s (was 28.0 s)
Quality 2: 66.7 s (was 102.6 s)
Apart from inlining some routines, did you find any other speed
improvements?
