I've been having a terrible time with the Ghostscript driver lately. I can't quite figure it out. Printing an image from the Gimp produces a nice looking print. Printing the same image with the same settings via the ghostscript driver compiled from the same source just fills the page full width with a black bar with vertical colored stripes. It looks like the lower heads are actually printing the image, although at a scale maybe four times larger than the Gimp, and the upper heads are over-printing it with the bar. I didn't want to waste the ink to print a whole page with that, so it's also possible that it's just the top of the page that's crap. Is anyone actively using the current Ghostscript driver? With gs 5.10? With an ESP 750? Successfully? As always, the main problem is finding enough time to debug this. I should have some this evening, but not much after tonight. Eric |
