Hi Michael As the author of QuadToneRIP I'm in much the same boat. Since I use MacOS as my main computer I've been more committed to maintaining a Mac version. So far so good, but it seems the writing is on the wall regarding regular old-style print drivers. I've spent some time looking at IPP and PAPPL code but frankly I'm not familiar enough to just jump right in. What seems like a good feature would be a relatively simple way to just open a printer-name and have a simple connection to send a byte stream to the printer. Basically like the old " | lpr -o raw -P printer" Seems like this is the print application idea but without needing all the IPP knowledge and code. Is there an IPP equivalent? Would it be possible to easily do this?
