I hope you’re having a brilliant time wherever you are. 

I won’t waste much of your time - all I want to say is that I am EXTREMELY grateful for the work every single person involved in this project has done over the years.

I recently replaced my windows gaming laptop with an M4 Mac (my first apple computer) and I was extremely annoyed to find that even Canon was no longer providing MacOS support/drivers for my pixma MP499 - almost gave up and started putting money aside for a new printer till I looked around and Reddit pointed me to this project.

5 minutes later, driver is installed and I can print wirelessly, thanks to all of you.


If possible, please show this email to everyone reponsible for creating this Gutenprint - You are appreciated, and I wanted to take the time to give thanks for the often thankless work you do.
