Sorry to contact you this way, through email, however I wanted to make a 
report on the fly without too much effort.
I bought a canon 2556s and although it doesn't seem to be supported by gutenpring, 
I was able to make several prints by setting the 2555s driver.
I've only been using gutenprint for 1 day, so I'm not an expert, however 
if to make sure that the old driver is 100% compatible with the new printer, 
if you report me some tests to do, I'll try to do it.
