   Can someone remind me, was there a reason the ESP 750 is MODEL_INIT_STANDARD
   rather than MODEL_INIT_900.  Were there bug reports of problems as _900?

I think that what happened is that someone complained about this
problem on a 900, and nobody said anything else about it on any other
model.  Should this be set on all third generation
(440/640/740/900/750/1200) printers and beyond?  My 870 is hooked up
to my parallel port, so I can't test it.

Maybe I should get a USB cable.  I think kernel 2.2.15 supports USB
printers.  It would let me test both USB connectivity and have both
printers hooked up at once.  Although where I'll put the other printer
is beyond me.
