You could call it 'darkness' or 'lighter-darker'. Brightness, as the density of light tints, is much less needed. How dark the darkest will be is more a function of the paper type. But I must admit: I have not played with the settings at all. > > 4) Documentation. > > For the user? In the UI mostly. > > That's what I meant about a help system. I meant things like 'Highest Quality 1440x720' instead of '1440x720 - may not work on some models' I have scanned my printouts again. They can now be found at: http://people.a2000.nl/ztonino/dither/files/1440EnhancedRandomFS.jpg The magenta smear is a scanner problem. There is a little hint of the shadow near the hairline. It is visible with teh bare eye as well. http://people.a2000.nl/ztonino/dither/files/1440HQRandomFS.jpg http://people.a2000.nl/ztonino/dither/files/2880x720RandomFS.jpg http://people.a2000.nl/ztonino/dither/files/720SoftweaveRandomFS.jpg I hope the file names are self explanatory. http://people.a2000.nl/ztonino/dither/files/me2.jpg again is the original image. Color differences seem to be caused more by the scanner than by anything else. With the bare eye, 1440 High Quality Random FS looks best on the 600 - at least with this picture. Thomas |
