   I tried to compile ghostscript-6.01 with the gimp-print Epson Stylus
   Photo drivers. However, I get the following error message:
   make: *** No rule to make target `obj/stp.dev', needed by `obj/ld.tr'. 
   Stop.

   What am I doing wrong?

Can you send the entire output?  This suggests that you didn't do all
of the makefile changes, or that there's a difference between gs 6.01
and 5.50 (which is what I use).
