   which is just sitting there (after accepting my password).  I did get an
   emacs window popped up with some log stuff in it, but nothing seems to
   be going out.  First, is the command I used correct?  If so, what else
   might I have done wrong or not done?  Any help would be greatly
   appreciated.

That command looks correct.  What is the log stuff that you got?
