I had a think about this overnight and came up with two things:-

First, don't bother with the pcl-unprint in the CVS, I've revised
it extensively since then to make it work with colour output and
to tidy it up a bit. The original was hacked together to
save me paper when I was trying to fathom out the dithering bug.
When I find the problem with decoding CMYK output then I will
submit it.

Second, I wonder if it is a useful thing to do to combine all
three unprint programs into one? Is the work involved justified
given that they're only test tools?

Just my 5p (UK pence) worth.
