Hi,

My name is Thorsten Schnier, I've been looking at
the 
progress made on the gimp print driver with a lot
of hope,
and thought I can at least test versions on my
printer while it 
is still working (mechanical difficulties). I
downloaded the
latest CVS version (11/02/00) and tried 360 and
720 modes:

360dpi mode: works, but is much more grainy than
windows 360 dpi output, has less detail and
clarity.

720dpi microweave: prints 4 or 5 head movements
only, then
stalls, head does short forward-backward motions.

720dpi softweave: prints either random text
pattern or empty pages.

Small interface problem: A4 papersize missing.

Not much luck yet...
