It could be that you had been using an older version of Gutenprint or perhaps something else went wrong in the transfer.  You should be able to just install the current version of Gutenprint 5.3.3 to solve the issue.

If your new computer uses Apple's own processor, you will have to have Rosetta installed.  If you have not already been prompted to install Rosetta, you will have to do it manually.  Open the Terminal.app (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app).  In a Terminal window, copy and paste the following command and hit Enter.  You will be prompted for you administrator's password for your user account.  Be aware that nothing will appear on the screen as you enter you password.  Hit Enter after you enter your password.

sudo softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license 

The uninstaller seldom works after a system upgrade.  The software receipt is frequently not copied over to the new system.
